What it does
- Captions that number themselves. Figure 1, Figure 2, Table 1 — insert one in the middle and everything after it renumbers.
- Cross-references that stay correct. "See Figure 3" becomes "See Figure 4" when you move a figure. Delete the target and the reference says so, loudly, instead of quietly lying.
- Chapter numbering. Figure 2.1, 2.2, restarting each chapter, the way Word does it.
- Heading numbering. 1, 1.1, 1.1.1 legal style, applied from your existing Heading 1–6 styles. Nothing to re-tag.
- List of figures / tables. Generated in document order, in one click.
- Your formatting survives. Renumbering rewrites only the "Figure 12: " prefix — bold, italics and links inside your caption text are never touched.
It never sends your document anywhere
Everything runs inside the document you have open. The add-on asks for exactly three permissions, and the document one is documents.currentonly — access to the single file it is open in, not your Drive, not your other documents.
There is no server. Licences are verified offline inside the add-on. Nothing about your writing is transmitted, logged, or stored anywhere. Full privacy policy.
